We are proud to share that Cassopolis Public Schools has been recognized for the fifth consecutive year for our commitment to helping all students learn, grow, and succeed through our Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS)!
This recognition celebrates the teamwork and dedication of our teachers, support staff, and school leaders across the district.
What Is MTSS?
MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports) is how we work together to ensure all students
receive the instruction and support they need to succeed.
Connecting Our Work
MTSS is not another program, it is how we organize and improve what we already do!
Teachers, support staff, building leaders, those who help keep our schools running, are part of MTSS!
Every child learns differently. Some students may need extra help with reading or math, while others may benefit from support with behavior, attendance, or social-emotional skills.
Through MTSS, our schools:
- Provide strong classroom instruction for all students.
- Identify students who may need additional help.
- Offer extra support based on individual needs.
- Check student progress and adjust support along the way.
Our goal is simple: Help every student succeed!
What Are We Celebrating?
- Effective Use of Data
Each of our schools received the MTSS Data Utilization Award for effectively collecting and utilizing MTSS fidelity data.
All three schools: Sam Adams Elementary, Cassopolis Squires Middle School, and Ross Beatty High School were recognized for using information about their school practices to make thoughtful decisions and improve student support.
This means our schools are working together, reviewing what works, and finding ways to improve learning for everyone.
- Strong Implementation & Positive Impact
By effectively using data and reflecting on our strategies, we have built a strong and responsive MTSS system. Our district is seeing measurable improvements; students are making academic and behavioral gains, and more students are staying on track for graduation, college, and career readiness.
