Alternative and Adult Education Expectations

Cassopolis Public Schools'  Adult and Alternative Education programs are designed to meet the educational needs of those 16 years and older. All who choose to enter the program should understand that success or failure is directly related to the following: SELF-MOTIVATION, SELF-DISCIPLINE and SELF CONTROL. Never allow your age to stop you from returning to Adult Education.

In the Cassopolis Adult/Alternative Education program, students complete classes according to their individual needs. Transcripts are reviewed and a graduation plan is implemented. Students work at their own pace, in the classroom and at home, to finish the goal outlined in the plan. We offer a High School diploma, High School Equivalency and GED prep.  A certified teacher is available at all times to provide assistance.  Our desire is to help students attain their educational goals. Determination and hard work are the only requirements. 

• Cell phones are a distraction in the classroom and are to be used only with the permission of staff.
• Cassopolis Alternative & Adult Education Students must remain in the Adult/Alternative Education hallway. Cassopolis High school students may not be at the alternative program without permission.
• Cassopolis Schools are in a designated Drug-Free Zone. No drugs or alcohol are allowed within 500 feet of school property. Parents will be notified immediately if a student is suspected of using drugs/alcohol. Students proven to be involved with either will face suspension and/or expulsion.
• Students are expected to demonstrate respect to others. A student can show respect by presenting him/herself positively and by not engaging in negative behavior such as the use of profanity, name-calling or another type of demeaning behavior, which would include bullying. Violations will result in the student being removed from school for the day.
